Just seems like playing with fire. I get the whole idea of helping humanity cope with an epidemic, but not clear why they didnt just do THAT research instead.
- laughinghan 15y agoIt's hard to figure out how to put out fires based on news reports of what fires are like. At some point you just have to set fire to something in a laboratory and see if you can actually put it out. It helps that just like it's not actually possible to start a fire that would actually incinerate half the globe, it's not actually possible to create a virus that would wipe out half of humanity. The article is wrong and sensationalist.
