Not everyone lives in insane places where people feel the need to car shame.
- Gigachad 4y agoSUV shaming is a lot like drink driver shaming. A completely rational action for healthy society.
- UpstandingUser 4y ago> SUV shaming is a lot like drink driver shaming. Are you drink?
- foxes 4y agoNot everyone lives in insane car filled wastelands. Aerial pictures of lots of American cities are truly abhorrent, vast concrete and asphalt wastelands purely for car parking. The American system and people definitely need car shaming. I don't want the same thing exported to my city.
- userbinator 4y agoNeither do we want to live in the equivalent of a factory farm.
- foxes 4y agoHow do you get reducing car dependence in cities = factory farm? Walkable, rideable, and a plentitude of public transport is infinitely more sustainable and humane than vast expanses of parking lots.

- bigDinosaur 4y agoThe overwhelming (and I mean truly overwhelming, to the point you often cannot even get people to engage with any criticism of cars) majority of places are the absolute opposite. Car shaming is basically rounds down to zero. Contrast that with bicycle or bus or public transport shaming which is frequent and often extremely abusive.
- foxes 4y agoIt's more than abusive, social media is filled with frothing car fanatics that want to kill cyclists merely for slowing them down from being able to roar up to the traffic light and stop in traffic a few seconds earlier.
- Gigachad 4y agoSUV drivers have to face occasional online complaints while the other are up against literal murder attempts, often successful.
- savingsPossible 4y agoOne could argue that this is the exact good use of shaming: As a mild punishment for anti-social behaviour
