I think the main problem with SQL is how it tries to be too “human like” and “non-programmers friendly” with all the English words, when it’s still used by programmers in the end.
I don’t see Malloy fixing it as it’s still using many English words and trying to be too much “sentence like”, but maybe I read it wrong
- Myrmornis 4y agoI agree that a major problem with SQL is its misguided attempt to be natural language-like. However skimming malloy examples it looks like they are just trying to be strongly declarative but not making the natural language mistake.
