Living Worlds in HTML5 (2012)
- andersource 4y agoVery cool! From the related blog post[0]: * All the animation is done using color palette cycling (which is very impressive!) * The scenes were originally made by Mark J Ferrari and ported by the author as a demo for color cycling in HTML5 [0] http://www.effectgames.com/effect/article-Old_School_Color_Cycling_with_HTML5.html http://www.effectgames.com/effect/article-Old_School_Color_C... EDIT: there's another demo page with some more artworks[1], I have to say I find this absolutely stunning. - Daub 4y agoTop tip: Show the options to reveal which colors are being cycled. Beautiful.

- SonOfLilit 4y agoThis is an amazing engineering and artistic achievement. I have the Live Wallpaper for Android and it's the most delightful $2 I've ever spent, even though it crashes every few days. Right now it's snowing. Yesterday night I spotted a shooting star. There's a great talk by Mark Ferrari about his work: https://youtu.be/aMcJ1Jvtef0 https://youtu.be/aMcJ1Jvtef0

- Lorin 4y agoI HIGHLY recommend purchasing the official Living Worlds mobile app from the man himself. Dirt cheap and It has some wonderful advancements such as changes specific to time of day!
- mustknow2201 4y agoI made a tweaked version[0] of this for use as a picture frame that would update based on current weather conditions and time of day [0]https://github.com/Slord6/colour-cycle https://github.com/Slord6/colour-cycle
