Show HN: Twofer Goofer, rhyming word game built with Midjourney/Stable Diffusion
- babyshake 4y agoIt looks like the AI generated images are not crucial to how the app works. I was wondering how they factored in until I submitted a guess.
- cowllin 4y agoYes we actually started working on this without knowing about Midjourney. I was talking to upwork illustrators before realizing it would be expensive to commission one piece of art each day. Learning about Midjourney was perfect timing!
- ShamelessC 4y agoIsn’t Midjourney only offered via Discord chat? just fyi, there’s stable diffusion now which has no such limitation.
- cowllin 4y agoYep we use both! And Midjourney can be added to a private server in Discord which tbh is just like a web app. I prefer Midjourney to Stable Diffusion so far! While having both, I've been more pleased with Midjourney ~80% of the days. Been on DALL-E waitlist for many months but never got access ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
- bcjordan 4y agoFun game! Always loved these types of Jeopardy clues I encountered some sort of UI/input bug where pressing the letter S highlights the letter S but actually enters the letter A. (iOS, tested on Firefox and Safari)
- chevalric 4y agoSeems like fun game, but the interface is not quite working on my iPhone 12: I can’t reach the hint button. Also, I had to fill in the correct answer 2-3 times before it was accepted.
- yarpnird 4y agoSubmissions didn't work for me. Also, the text input was a bit tedious. (Firefox nightly on Android) Seems like a great concept though.
- cowllin 4y agoHm, what was the error on submissions? Have not heard of this before and have had thousands of submissions this week! And you can turn off our "custom keyboard" in settings :)
- ryanjshaw 4y agoDoes the order of the words matter? I figured out today's solution immediately and then spent a long time trying to figure out if order mattered as I entered the words into the game...
- cowllin 4y agoNope! Or at least not when they have the same number of letters.
