- AlbertoGP 4y agoSeveral of those documents are about ransomware, so I would guess one aspect would be increased criminal activity. I imagine that’s to be expected as the economic crisis deepens. The other day Jeffrey Sachs (the economist) was saying that this will be much worse than 2008. One consequence would be a greater motivation for crime. Anecdotally, I noticed a sharp increase in monetary scam emails in the last two months or so.
