To this day I still use OOSE notation when sketching a design, I alwas thought UML was a step down.
- Rochus 4y agoYou're right, the book does not present Objectory, just the fundamental ideas. But RUP was the continuation of the "Rational Objectory Process", which was Objectory gradually using UML instead of the original diagrams. The fellow referred to Jacobson's consulting company and RUP and UML, not Jacobson's text book. I still have the original Objectory documentation, and even asked Jacobson many years ago whether they could open source the Objectory tool, but unfortunately that didn't happen yet (at least not to my knowledge).
