Umbrel isn't open source, for one, and is heavily crypto focused, as it started as a Bitcoin miner and expanded out into being a selfhosting platform.
Otherwise, pretty similar, it's Docker plus fancy glue. :)
- PontifexMinimus 4y agoWould it make sense to merge the 2 projects, given that there is considerable overlap?
- ocdtrekkie 4y agoFrom my experience everyone who makes their own has some reason they want it done their way. While I'd like to see more selfhosting platforms collaborate, I think it's also good we don't have a strong monoculture in the space.
