How much equity do each of you have? If you co-founder put in a lot of money, but you didn't, he/she might be able to out-vote you. Do you have a board or VC oversight? Maybe they instructed him/her to do this? Also, did you mean partner == "business partner" or were you actually dating? Because that would be an entirely different dynamic.
