A lot of these chronic diseases are autoimmune ones. I now know plenty of young people IBD, MS, Psoriasis, and even Rheumatoid Arthritis. These seem to be caused by less obvious things imo (MS although looks linked to epstein-barr), as otherwise general health doesn't seem to be poor.
