This is pretty common for most elite institutions in the United States. These institutions have the financial strength (look at the US universities endowments and it's pretty eye-watering) and have the financial incentives to push programs like these. My university isn't an Ivy but I was able to graduate with total of 5K loan. It's great that Princeton is able to provide these programs for its students but I hope the US will make an effort so that the other universities that doesn't have the same financial prowess as Princeton can offer similar programs.
