Charles Petzold is a God of technical documentation. His "Programming Windows" is a masterpiece of clarity and exposition. Also was the foundation of my 27-year old company.
I wish he would write a book on TCP/IP and Internet Protocols.

- mixmastamyk 4y agoStevens' books are well-regarded: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TCP/IP_Illustrated https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TCP/IP_Illustrated I'm enjoying his Unix book now. (Although these are little more technical and not as oriented to lay-people.)
