Bollocks, and so easily disproved by the "Hunger Stones" along the Elbe River in central Europe.
The stones become visible when the water level of the river drops significantly, as in during times of drought.
The oldest stone carving to emerge was carved in 1616.
"Some markings date back to the 15th century, Czech researchers found in 2013, and the Decin stone commemorates at least 12 droughts over 600 years. "
Droughts come and go and are a natural climate phenomena.
