Since the top causes of overeating are grief and "comfort eating", it's common sense that fat people are less happy. Being fat is a symptom of self-neglect, which is a component of low self-esteem. But "experts" pathologize children's refined intuition. For shame.
The playbook is getting old now: denounce innate intuition of human nature as "biased" or "based on stereotypes", falsely claim that that intuition was shaped by media perception, relentlessly use the media to artificially socially engineer the opposite perception (you are only allowed to notice the platitude that "bodies come in all shapes and sizes" and any other opinion is bias). Maybe soon brain implants will "auto-correct" our perceptions and intuition for us?
These "experts" with huge institutional and media influence are a far greater danger than any degree of political polarization or political bias.
