I don't understand why media does these hitpieces on progressive causes. Isn't walking away from ICE a good thing? Isn't improving the economies of scale for electric cars to push the technology a good thing? Of course there will be teething challenges, we have generations of technical debt to overcome. It's good that people are trying. Californians are wealthy, they'll sort out their power situation sooner or later.
- WheelsAtLarge 4y agoIt's call click bait. Implying a controversy will always get people's attention. You and I both clicked on it. Yet, it turned out to be implied BS.
- kwertyoowiyop 4y agoThis is Fortune, after all. It’s always been a right-wing conservative magazine.
- superchroma 4y agoBut it's just a bizarre take now. Manufacturers are going hard on electrification. Even Caterpillar is working on electrified mining vehicles. ICE is done, and, to me, the people who want to read this sort of take are not in the socioeconomic bracket that reads Fortune anyway.
- kwertyoowiyop 4y agoThey definitely are. Older rich people -- who like things the way they are -- has historically been Fortune's target audience.
