- sgjohnson 4y agoFun fact, this is from the times when macOS (Mac OS X back then) wasn't Unix compliant, and it caused a $200mn lawsuit. HN thread on this: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=29984016 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=29984016 And for a couple of years after they sorted out the compliance, they really pushed UNIX in their advertising materials. After all, they paid more than $20mn to sort out compliance.
