I like the idea of anonymous payments, although I fully understand how alluring this is to criminals as well. MobileCoin has significantly lower environmental impact (PoS) and good anonymity features. Technically, I don't see what there is not to like, and no one is forced to use it? I would not excuse a "buzz word" feature, but I do not think that is one, I think it has a lot of potential.
