In an informal friend survey, more friends bought PS5s through a non-retail market (eBay, scalper, w/ mild inflated prices) then retail direct. TBH, MS and Sony should just have a direct sell console waitlist (if they don't?). Steam Deck distribution was slow during the initial ramp, but data currently seems to show that they'll bust through their backlog for holiday demand. Valve did it well.
