Americans seems to be enamored with credit unions, when I went to one to look into it, they told me they don’t do international wires and that only big banks do it (I didn’t go check at other unions).
- AndyMcConachie 4y agoWhen I used to live in the USA I had two accounts at two different credit unions and they both did wire transfers. But banking in the USA is so archaic to begin with. paper checks? The benefit of credit unions of commercial banks is that they tend to be considerably less scummy. All of my banking horror stories from the USA come from commercial banks, and I always recommend Americans to use credit unions.
