Wait $350 is for the whole semester? So, if a student takes 5 courses per semester it will cost $3500 per year. Why can't the $15000 instate and $44000 out of state pay for this? If even 20% of the tuition is not going for class expenses there is something messed up somewhere
- ThrustVectoring 4y agoThe $350 is the cost to the department in terms of things that scale per student (specifically faculty for teaching, grading homework, etc). The university as a whole has many other expenses.
- downrightmike 4y agoIt can't be a 43 times increase. There is no way that money is not just going to the Admin and Endowment.
