Even Apple does this (not just on the Mac Pro, you can configure the Mac Studio for it too). On the PC side all AMD Threadrippers can support at least that much, as can the Intel i9. These aren't server-class CPUs that require ECC memory or anything exotic like that either. Normal consumer hardware.
- sleepytimetea 4y agoI regularly work on servers with 768 GB of ECC RAM. These aren't very common but they do exist. I am trying to upgrade to a terabyte of ECC RAM. On Amazon, they sell a 32x32GB package of ECC RAM for about $10k. https://www.amazon.com/Adamanta-32x32GB-Upgrade-PC4-17000-Registered/dp/B01M1IMRQG https://www.amazon.com/Adamanta-32x32GB-Upgrade-PC4-17000-Re...
