- rossdavidh 4y agoVC mindset in Congressional races, is a mismatch. A good VC needs to concentrate on getting a few home runs: big wins where no one else was expecting them (and thus there is little competition), that disrupt incumbents. This strategy, in Congress, would (even if it worked) result in a few surprising wins, that will sit in the minority in Congress and accomplish nothing. I expect Peter Thiel is a smart guy, but he may not be the right kind of smart for helping the Republicans win back Congress.
