Terry Davis on Simplicity
- cowtools 4y agoI suppose there's a kernel of truth there, but it's easy to say that when your goal is to make a system that is basically too simple for any practical purpose. A lot of the complexity of modern software is reflective of the complexity of modern hardware. I know that TempleOS is picky and only operates on a subset of simpler PC hardware. I think if one's goal was to make a simple computing environment for beginners, something like BASIC256 [0] or TI-BASIC will accomplish that better than TempleOS in a virtual machine. It certainly did the trick for me. [0] https://basic256.org/ https://basic256.org/
