Not if they also control a marketplace where they have the opportunity to favor their own products over competitors. That is a perversion of capitalism. The marketplace should be run by an independent firm without a conflict of interest.
- mcphage 4y ago> That is a perversion of capitalism. In what sense? Setting up a store to sell our own product seems to be pretty consistent with capitalism.
- andsoitis 4y ago> Not if they also control a marketplace And which market place does Amazon control here? They made a show. They put it on Prime.
- partomniscient 4y agoThey control IMDB (via direct ownership). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IMDb https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IMDb
- midoridensha 4y agoIMDB is not a "marketplace". They don't sell anything, except subscriptions to IMBOpro.
