The Organic Transit ELF and the BetterBike PEBL are enclosed electric trikes (two wheels in front, one in back) but are more expensive than your wish.
Both are currently out of production for engineering improvements with plans for assembly lines to reduce the cost and prices.

- gregable 4y agoIn a similar bucket is the Aptera I'd say, but also more expensive.
- asoneth 4y agoCame hear to mention the ELF and PBLE. It's shocking to me that someone would expect an enclosed battery-electric vehicle to cost anywhere close to $2k unless their mental image is a cheap electric bike with a rain cape or something? The ELF and PEBL start(ed) at $10k and while I could imagine that coming down a couple thousand dollars at high volumes I have trouble imagining what corners you could cut to hit a $2k or even $4k price point.
