After working at a few startups and going through some failed ones that went down in unpleasant ways I started asking startup interviewers, when interviewed by a founder or someone else with a high stake in it: "how would you deal with your startup failing". I will never forget the time one of them (the founder of the company) told me he would commit suicide. Let's just say that neither of us wanted to continue that interview series any further.
