We are using this technique in ClickHouse to make performance tests more stable. ClickHouse automatically collects CPU performance counters on a per-query basis, and we see the changes on a diagram of iTLB misses. Although the average performance difference is not visible, the measurements became more stable after enabling huge pages for code.
