Tell HN: Facebook app external browser preference reset
A few days ago the Facebook app on my (Android) phone stopped opening links in Firefox (again). The preference which used to tell it to do so was reset. After reading things like https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=32415470 it's no longer possible to believe it wasn't done on purpose.
PS My opinion is that Facebook (and any other app) should have never been allowed to have an "internal" browser.

On one hand, Facebook and Google will pry Firefox from my cold dead hands. On the other hand, for "smaller" apps that need/want a web view, I'd much rather the lone developer be using Google's updated Chromium-based WebView than rolling their own or using some ancient outdated library they found on GitHub or SO because they don't have the time to develop and entire web browser themselves.
