I'm glad that Framework exists for the primary reason Kris mentions in this article. Though on a side note, I think the chassis is ugly but for some reason I like the XPS laptops which aren't all that much more attractive. Maybe it's a branding thing. I digress. I'm typing this on a desktop that is a decade old, and I just Ship of Theseus'd it over the years.[1][2][3][4][5] I hope that this becomes more common for laptops soon. I think there's potential for an ATX-for-laptops layout, though I admit that would probably lead to slightly chonkier notebooks than what we use today. Maybe not though! Framework did it.
