I made the jump from Android to Apple a year ago. For me, the benefits were that Apple has a much nicer camera than any of the Android options (especially all the Pixel phones, which have essentially had exactly the same camera for the past six years or so), and that I knew I’d get software updates for at least five years. Before this I had the Nexus 6P, which despite being a Google branded phone, only got updates for three years. If you amortize the cost of the phone over five years instead of three, it suddenly makes the Apple phones seem like a deal.
