Can you explain how the opinion of his wife is evidence of anything other than her own opinion? Are you assuming that because he hasn’t divorced her, therefore he must share all her opinions? I wouldn’t want to be married to you!
- hollywood_court 4y agoAre you assuming that she won't try to pressure and influence her husband the way that she has tried to pressure and influence others?
- TechBro8615 4y agoI’m not assuming anything about the thoughts and opinions of any spouse of any justice. Do you have any evidence or example of Justice Thomas changing his vote because of his wife’s opinion? Or do you think that marital influence fundamentally compromises the independence of his opinion, so it’s safe to assume that he agrees with her on any matter that comes before the court? And if that’s your position, then why are you only worried about the spouse of one particular justice? Should we check what Jane Roberts texts her friends about the 2nd amendment? Maybe we need confirmation hearings for Supreme Court spouses.
- bediger4000 4y agoLuckily for both of us, you are not. It's more than opinions. It's money. Ginni Thomas lobbies for health insurance companies. Ginni Thomas could easily have political opinions without pressing state legislatures, giving the appearance of using her access to Justice Thomas. Justice Thomas at the least appears to be biased.
