Glad to know it's not a malware, but it sucks not having control on your system
- culturestate 4y ago> it sucks not having control on your system I obviously don’t recommend this, but if you turn off SIP it’ll also disable XProtect.
- tjohns 4y agoThere are command line knobs to turn these features off. You can disable SIP, or you can disable the system policy (which disables Gatekeeper and XProtect). It's definitely a case of "just because you can, doesn't mean you should".
- astrange 4y agoCPUs are basically on or off, so as long as it was doing something anyway, it's unlikely this can use much power or you'd even notice. Don't look and you'll be happy.
