Currently I like to help small to mid-sized companies automate business workflows and improve data processing by applying modern automation paradigms. I also enjoy more technical work related to data and processes, like optimising workflows for throughput or improving memory use profiles of existing tools, and would be happy to discuss data science projects. I have a Masters degree in mathematics and a multidisciplinary background with experience in computer science, biology, and genomics. I have spent a number of years in academia, where I managed very large amounts of compute in cluster environments, collaborated on open source software in complex problem domains, and published research papers. I am mostly looking for unique opportunities and for short to mid-term projects. I will consider full time roles, but would prefer commitments of up to 20 hours a week arranged on a freelance / per-project basis.
