Well they did loose a vote in the electoral college. First population decline in history.
- egberts1 4y agoDespite unheard of voter turnouts.
- mickdeek86 4y agoCalifornia's population did not decline, per the US census. It's share of the overall US population slightly declined (ie grew more slowly than eg Texas). So Cal lost one congressional seat in the new apportionment, and thus one vote in the electoral college as you say.
