I'm not sure compression with deep learning makes sense though? Currently data storage and transportation costs are much cheaper than computation. Until that's reversed, I'm not sure this is really a viable use case? And just intuitively, since both costs are proportionate to the size of the raw data, I don't see that happening with deep learning models.
