Doesn’t systemd allow you to hand off sockets to a process?
- thayne 4y agoYes, but it needs cooperation from the process. Specifically, the process needs to know how to get the file descriptor from the environment variable and use that rather than binding to the port itself. And not all services are set up to do that.
