- zdragnar 4y agoAh yes, the world was such a utopia before the US.
- daemoens 4y agoThat doesn't invalidate the point that the US has created incredible amounts of instability around the world.
- sgjohnson 4y agoActually the British are more to blame for that, as they are the ones who deliberately drew the borders of modern middle east with the explicit goal to cause maximum instability.
- daemoens 4y agoYes they are, but we overthrew a government from half of the Latin American countries in the same time period. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_involvement_in_regime_change_in_Latin_America https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_involvement_in_r...
- pessimizer 4y agoWhy step into a conversation as if everybody else is arguing that there's heaven on earth? Are you going to ask people if they love Saddam next?
- wnevets 4y ago> The US manages to meddle and create problems all over the world. Huh? The OP is accusing the US of NOT meddling. Talk about damned if you do, damned if you don't.
- sudosysgen 4y agoThe US meddled, and it did a lot. The OP is saying the US meddled wrong and could have meddled beneficially. If the US had decided not to meddle in the USSRs affairs, the world would have gone quite differently.
- wnevets 4y ago> The OP is saying the US meddled wrong and could have meddled beneficially. How are you getting that from the Original Post? The Original Post only mentions what the US didn't do, not what it did do.
- sudosysgen 4y agoThat's because of the shared historical context of the US having meddled, isn't it?
