IPC means “instructions per cycle”, not “instructions per core”. So the numbers you quote would mean a 0% IPC increase (or slight decrease)

- neogodless 4y agoThe numbers quoted have an implicit assumption that performance claims are based on "base clocks", which is incorrect.
