In the grant scheme of thing, do people really think it is a big deal if a page shows you a 404 error, even if the content you are looking for actually exists? I think it's very tempting to get lost in tiny details like that.
- jsilence 15y agoIt might appear to some like a tiny detail, but things like this break the web. HTTP status codes are there for a good reason. A similar situation is when your provider redirects you to its own search page instead of giving you the 404.
