Long live Taiwan.

Censorship was just as widespread if not worse in Taiwan before the military dictatorship fell away. The smash hit "When Will You Return?" by the cross-strait superstar Teresa Tang was censored: The titular "you" pronounced in Mandarin rhymes with the word for "army." "When Will The Army Return?" was never going to be a hit with the military dictatorship. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Censorship_in_Taiwan#Music%20and%20performance%20censorship%20in%20Taiwan https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Censorship_in_Taiwan#Music%20a...
