From us, ca. Wife is Australian. Presently down under. I will say that in my experience Apac companies are a special breed of laggard. Im working for a energy trading firm out of the uk as a fullstack software engineer. Pay is competitive w/super annuation (sorry can't disclose), but I took the role because I like the industry and stack +team after interviewing with several dozen prominent au companies that were (in my opinion) really exceptionally bad at software and IT type things.
