Others already mention adblockers exist for iOS. This is possible because Safari on iOS has support for declarative blocking (the inferior API compared to programmatically deciding what to block).

Initial content blocker support came with iOS 9 in 2015. They only work in Safari, maybe also other browsers (not sure though).
- tartoran 4y agoI confirm. Im seeing no ads on iOS in Safari with ad blocker. Works quite well and browsing experience is good. Should Ad blockers ever be rendered unfunctional I’d simply reduce my browsing to a minimum, I’d never ever stomach a regular browsing experience, it’s maddening, it’s potentially dangerous and not worth the hassle.
