- jollyllama 4y agoOne suggestion: migrations should all feature downgrade capabilities and should also be idempotent (i.e. check if the table exists before creating it, etc.)
- zhanymkanov 4y agoyeah, that's what I meant when I said "12. Migrations must be static and revertable. If your migrations depend on dynamically generated data, then make sure the only thing that is dynamic is the data itself, not its structure."
- jollyllama 4y agoGotcha. I was thinking in different terms.
