UEFI rootkits and UEFI secure boot
- ggm 4y agoAs long as its "motivated attacker has to physically get to your laptop and hit F1" its in a specific risk class. If by running Lenovo auto updater I can be exposed to the risk of my UEFI being blown, I'd be worried. I do realize that ideating this as "just a windows problem" is probably wrong because the UNIX world now increasingly allows the pre=boot/UEFI state to be updated at runtime (I am reading about tools in FreeBSD this week just gone)
