When It Comes to Gorillas, Google Photos Remains Blind (2018)
- btilly 4y agoI'm posting this to raise awareness of the flaw in Paul Graham's recent tweets: https://twitter.com/paulg/status/1563667483961176064 https://twitter.com/paulg/status/1563667483961176064 https://twitter.com/paulg/status/1563753214838771714 https://twitter.com/paulg/status/1563753214838771714 If our software identifies blacks as gorillas, this is a bug and and NOT a case of the software telling us that the emperor has no clothes. And as ridiculous as Paul may find the manual tweaks to be that get software to stop saying that, there are very good reasons we wish to make such tweaks.

- hirundo 4y agoHTTP 451 is not quite right for these non-results. But having no-go zones within an AI's domain seems destined to be a long-term problem, so maybe a status is indicated. Something like HTTP 9000 - Query outside the area of competence I can't think of a /^4\d\d$/ number with ominous AI undertones.
