Pretty much a anything that uses PanDoc under the hood can do the same thing. I for one would like to see someone extend the cmark C libraries to add some new extensions like admonitions, tabs, graphs (using YAML), etc. PanDoc is awesome but all those Haskell libraries can be quite bloated. Ghostwriter can use multiple libraries and does essentially the same thing but doesn't rely on Electron.
