It’s shown very clear technological benefit to engineering problems around DLT and BFT public ledgers. We do not see the same level of vitriol around Paxos or Raft despite them being arguably even worse and more centralized DLTs. I think these vitriolic reactions are due to the market cap of crypto, not the technology. There is an expectation that, at this valuation, it should deliver more than what the average person is seeing in mainstream usage. And that’s fair - a lot of the value is driven by speculation.
