> The logs you provided showed they were directing people to #linuxmint-chat to chat instead of using the help channel to chat, as per the rules of the LM Channels.
It seems like you’re making a mountain out of a molehill. The user was not spamming, he was clearly directing you to the right channel 5 minutes after you just said “hi” with no follow up support question at all.
You’re in the wrong here.

- orf 4y agoMy bad, just read the comment and replace “you” with “they”. Point still stands. Not spamming, valid thing to do when a user sends that kind of message to a support channel, your message was not helpful. you are still in the wrong for getting so overly upset over something so trivial and necessary. It’s not healthy, or normal. I also sometimes get like this when something else is going on. It’s important to deal with that rather than fixate then vent something trivial over IRC, forums, GitHub and now hacker news.
- paulnpace 4y agoI wasn't overly upset. I was disappointed by the behavior of the moderators. Do you find moderators mocking users in a support channel to be an acceptable behavior?
