To be fair this is the first war to comprehensively demonstrate that advanced technology can overcome firepower and numbers. Accuracy, automation, integration, intelligence...all come together quite nicely.
Did anyone predict this outcome? I'm not even sure the CIA did.
- _kbh_ 4y agoI don't think anyone predicted the current outcome, but I think the largest misjudgement was from the FSB/GRU/Russian intelligence theres signs to point to them legitimately thinking this would only take 3 days and that it would of been a walk in the park.

- tus666 4y agoBasically yes. Although the reverse. USA thought overwhelming technical superiority would make it easy...in fact asymmetric insurgency is very difficult to defeat.
