  Not surprising but this bit was interesting: "... the accounts were meant to appear like real people and used AI-generated profile pictures". It sounds like using AI for covert influence operations is the norm now.

    The AI generated pics and more is just getting started. The Reddit/onlyfans/etc circle has a few generated realistic girls I have noticed recently.

  what is funny, is that Ive been using an AI generated photo as an avatar and posting occasional news for over 11 years criticizing various factions of politics. I fear that I may soon be targeted on Twitter. Ive already left Facebook also used AI-generated avatar there with no adverse effect.
